Your Opinion Matters
Willesden Green Surgery, working in partnership with Brent Council, the NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NWL ICB), and local community groups, is proposing a new Health & Wellbeing Hub in Gladstone Park.
This exciting project aims to create a modern, sustainable space for healthcare, wellbeing, and community life, bringing together NHS services and local facilities in the heart of the neighbourhood.
We want the community to help shape this vision. Residents, patients, and local organisations are invited to share their views and take part in our public consultation.
Your feedback will help us design a hub that truly meets the needs, health, and well-being of the local community.
Location
The proposed site for the new hub is located within Gladstone Park at 162 Anson Road, London, NW2 6BH. The site currently consists of a disused World War II bunker, which Brent Council has granted us permission to redevelop.

Site & Floor Plans
With special thanks to Corstophine & Wright Architects for the design and planning.
The site sits at the location of the current Kilburn Cosmos Rugby Clubhouse and disused Gladstone centre - a pre-war building long past its lifecycle. The proposal is to demolish the site and rebuild a state of the art health and community hub. The Kilburn Cosmos Rugby Clubhouse would relocate into the adjacent pavillion building (not visible here)

Site Plan
The site is located on the edge of the scenic Gladstone Park, adjacent to the newly refurbished playground and outdoor gym.
The proposal includes a new outdoor community plaza, 1,000sqm two story health and community hub, food truck and padel court.
The location of NHS services alongside the adjacent outdoor gym, padel court, playground, plaza, cafe, pharmacy, community hall, wellbeing studios and wider park are all part of the wider NHS vision to promote activity, wellbeing and social connectedness.
An ambulance drop off is included to prevent disturbance to local traffic during emergencies. Only 3 parking spaces are provided for emergency workers in line with our communitment to reducing our Carbon footprint.

Ground Floor Plan
The ground floor entrance is a large 80sqm+ waiting room with an integrated cafe. The cafe will also have an outward facing window to serve those in the outdoor plaza.
A community pharmacy is adjacent to the waiting room.
The are 15 large clinical rooms including space Willesden Green Surgery and for the local integrated neighbourhood team - allowing residents registered with all local GP practices to be seen. A large 20sqm surgical suite will support the shift of surgical care into the community setting.

First Floor Plan
There is stiars and lift access to the first floor.
There will be two wellbeing studios overlooking a void, making the studios visible from both the ground floor and outside. The two studios will be able to open up onto one another to form a larger space. The studios will support activites such as community yoga, dance classess, group consultations/therapy and more.
There will a new large 140sqm community hall with adjacent kitchen, office and storage. This will support large community events, and have dividers for smaller events.
The changing place is a disabled friendly WC with a hoist. There are 9 WCs and a separate baby change/feed across both stories.
The remainder of the 1st floor is back office space for Willesden Green Surgery and the local integrated neighbourhood team, including admin space, staff shower, staff meeting room and staff terrace.
