Weather Warning
July 2018
The Met Office issued an amber weather warning to remain in place throughout the week as the UK faces some of the highest temperatures recorded since 1918.
The Met Office level-3 heatwave action warning urges people to keep away from the sun between 11am and 3pm as temperatures are predicted to hit 30C during the day, and 15C at night.
Tips for the sun:
- Stay well hydrated
- Wear sunscreen when outdoors
- Stay inside in a cool place
- Check in on elderly neighbours or relatives
